The Wonderful Cross

Well, I've just about finished going through yet another book for my term paper on Bismarck and his foreign policy regarding imperialism. It's is 4am on the morning of Good Friday and I thought I would put up one of my favorite songs by Chris Tomlin and performed with Matt Redman called "The Wonderful Cross". Here are the words:

"When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of Glory died,
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.

See, from His head, His hands, His feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet
or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Oh, the wonderful cross!
Oh, the wonderful cross
bids me come and die
and find that I may truly live.
Oh, the wonderful cross!
Oh, the wonderful cross!
All who gather here
by grace draw near
and bless Your name.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were an off'ring far too small.
Love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all!

Oh, the wonderful cross!
Oh, the wonderful cross
bids me come and die
and find that I may truly live.
Oh, the wonderful cross!
Oh, the wonderful cross!
All who gather here
by grace draw near
and bless Your name."

iDon't iSupport iApple iPods

I saw these pics today and I found them absolutely hilarious.

The first was instructions on how to hack your ipod and turn it into an ipod shuffle.
http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/images/howto_ipodshuffle.jpg
Oh, and after doing that you have to erase all but 240 of the songs on your ipod.

This one was pretty funny and pretty much sums up how i feel about Apple.

What's next? iMac Shuffle? A cheaper Mac with no screen that randomly selects what programs to load when you boot it up?

Well, I'm going to go check up on my Apple stock which is soaring thanks to all the iCrazy iMasses out there.

WoW...

So I'm just browsing through a bunch of guitar tabs on http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ and I realize that they have a bunch of stuff for Christian bands. I look at a few Third Day tabs and then i realize that there are a bunch for worship songs like "God of Wonders". This was really great because usually I spend a lot of time writing up tabs for worship songs and it would be really nice if I could find them somewhere online.
Then I check out Sonicflood, Delirious, and Tree 63. There's only 4 tab/chord submissions so i click on the intro tab for "Blessed Be Your Name" and this is what i found:
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/tree_63/blessed_be_your_name_intro_tab.htm
It's the intro part that I wrote for the lead guitar part for James in our worship band! I used the intro from the Tree63 version of the song but modified the rest for our band. However, I never submitted anything so someone else must have done it. Anyway, I just found that quite amusing. It's not everyday you go browsing through guitar tabs and find one of yours on there. Maybe I should actually write some accurate ones for specific song and submit them...

EAC Chinook Photo Scavenger Hunt

Back in February I helped to organize a photo scavenger hunt and bowling youth event. I had a lot of fun going around and taking all sorts of pictures around the mall. We split into two groups to see who could get the most photos on the list. Here's the list that we followed:

1. A copy of “The Da Vinci Code”
2. Two group members in a store. One behind the register like a cashier and one like a customer buying something.
3. Someone wearing a scarf.
4. Someone carrying a GAP shopping bag.
5. Someone wearing a toque.
6. A Motorola v551 phone.
7. A baby in a stroller.
8. Four people spelling out “YMCA”. Must include someone not in your group.
9. A Swiss Army Knife.
10. Someone with a mustache.
11. A no smoking sign.
12. A yellow “Caution: Floor Slippery When Wet” sign (doesn’t have to say this exactly but one of those signs).
13. Someone eating ice cream.
14. A security guard.
15. A 50th birthday card.
16. Someone wearing a sports team jersey.
17. Someone holding a teddy bear.
18. A 1 Gigabyte MiniDisc.
19. Someone with a bag of popcorn.
20. A Gameboy DS.
21. Everyone on a bench/chair/couch.
22. A human pyramid. Bonus points for getting a shopper to join.
23. In front of a store named after a guy found in Genesis 30 but carries nothing for guys.
24. In front of the “dog” store.
25. A picture next to Tabi.
26. Two people playing on an Xbox and the rest of the group cheering them on.
