More Than a Friend

One of my biggest passions (if not the biggest passion) is praise and worship music. This weekend at the "Uprising" Promise Keepers Conference, I was really moved by a song called "More Than a Friend" written by Jeremy Riddle. It was the first time I ever heard it and I hope to be able lead it in our church service on November 14.

In the quite of my soul
In the stillness I hear Your voice call
And I am overwhelmed, and I am lost for words
To describe You

Jesus You're more than a friend
Jesus You're more than my heart could ever express
Your love and Your grace never fail me
Your merciful touch always heals me
You bring joy to my soul

My heart longs to worship, You my King
And I long to bring You a pleasing offering
And I am overwhelmed, and I am lost for words
To describe You...

"And now for a taste of things to come..."

Bonus points for the first person who can name the movie from which the quote in the title was "borrowed" from :D

Anyhoo, I started this because I thought I needed to be a registered user of www.blogger.com in order to post comments on Charuzu's blog (www.chuckang.blogspot.com). Apparently you don't but since i took the couple minutes to make this I figure I might as well keep it and see if anything good comes from it.
