Shave Your Lid For A Kid 2005
I remember last year my friend Eric and I heard about the Head Shave event that was being held at the end of March to raise money for cancer. We agreed that it would be cool to participate and that maybe we'd do it. When the date neared, we discovered that all the participants had to sign up ahead of time and then collect pledges to raise money for the event. Both of us agreed that we would register next year.
So 2005 came around and sure enough they were holding this head shave campaign once again (i think for the 3rd year). So we signed up and also recruited Julia to join us in our quest to raise money for Cancer research and a free haircut. It was a resounding success with all three of us shaving our heads on March 31st and raising around $3500 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation http://www.cancerboard.ab.ca/foundation/ and the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta http://www.kidscancercare.ab.ca/.
I know a bunch of people took pictures but I haven't received any of them yet. Meanwhile, here are a few pics I took of myself before and after with my phone.
Waiting in Mac Hall before the big shave.
This is my monk impression.
From the top...
And the side.
